We will find ont on Monday whether we have honest electors or ones who can be reversed by a bunch of the crybaby Hollywood elite.

I hope that the people who voted for Donald Trrump will rise up in anger if the vote is nullified. If so I will be among them.

It wouldn't be the first time I took up arms for the good of my country.

Not surprising to hear of a threat of violence from today's brand of noxious conservative.
Again, I suggest you read the Constitution.
The Electoral College, for all its faults, was put there for a purpose ... to provide a last chance safety valve against tragic error.
They are free to vote as they choose and those who respect the rule of law will accept the vote.
I expect the vote to be for Donald Trump, whom I detest and who I believe to be the most dangerous man ever elected.
But, even though I hate the outcome, I will accept the vote of the College and move on to defeat him and his party in succeeding elections.

:coffee:

PS. Do you realize that the House of Representatives would choose the President, most likely Trump, or absolutely certainly a Republican?

It's not a threat it's a simple statement, and it's the left who has taken to the streets. Not the right.
We the people who voted against the kind of governent that has been going on for years have at last made our feelings known.

I post things here very seldom, regarding my role as simply administrator of an internet-based communications channel for Rockbridge folk. I'm much more interested in your ideas than in my own.

But I now fear that the existing free and open internet that is so important to so many of us in so many ways may not survive in the new administration. Net neutrality may be under renewed assault by Donald Trump. Here are two items that cause concern.

  1. Donald Trump's statement itself
  2. The resignation of the FCC Chairman, who broke the tie in favor of preserving Net Neutrality.
This is a matter of grave importance, and could one day suppress even little corners of the internet like this one.
Thanks for your posts! Stonewall, your administrator ... just an "empty suit."

So Stonewall, you edited out the last part of my reply.
To me that speaks voulmes.
Were you ever in uniform?

I must be mistaken Stonewall, the line I refered to is still there.
I apologize for both my error and my question.

For all that he is doing before he leaves the whitehouse I would say he deserves the title of the worlds greatest ass h--e much more than anybody else in the world.
The only problem I have with Obama leaving office is that it didn't happen 7 1/2 years ago.

Now THIS is a President that one can admire and respect.

Here's an address he gave to the armed forces in his role as Commander in Chief.

It is already clear that he will stand among the very few of the best Presidents the US has had.

wise one, you must deaf, blind and a real koolaid drinker.
The sob in the whitehouse has done and is doing all he can to cause problems for the United States.
Besides taking a "realistic" look at the problems he has created as president and his many violations of the constitution. You should read his books and some of his statements prior to becoming President.

I know it's hard for you, but try to understand just why Donald Trump got elected. It's all about those of us who love the things this country was founded on. Not the crap the polition's who have been steping on our rights are doing.

Our Precious Essence

Coondog knows why Donald Trump got elected. The intellectual level of the populace has actually dropped so low that Comrade Trump's tweet rants, indistinguishable from those of a spoiled adolescent little girl who refers to herself in the third person, have captured the limited attention of the misinformed, uninformed and maladjusted nationwide.

Coondog is thus, resigned to his fate. As should we all be. However, one question must be asked of Cannoneer..........
You should read his books and some of his statements prior to becoming President.

How many of Obama's books have you read?

I love it when you pop in, Coondog.

Your question is perfect. I look forward to hearing the answer (although I'm pretty sure I know it already.)

Two, Dreams from my father and The audicity of hope.

He's not a bad writer, but reading them took me a while to finish.

I'd UPS them to you, but I gave them to two of my VFW friends who probably read them and gave them away also.

I didn't like the man going in and reading two of his books didn't change my mind one bit.

On this day a President who truly loves America and accomplished so much in the face of implacable opposition, leaves us with the Nation's gratitude for his service. Well done!

A man who loves only himself has taken his place. God help us all.

That is a fascinating article, full of facts and incisive analysis. Thanks, Fangz. John Dean nailed it, and he should know having been associated with another with some of the same personality disorders that Trump suffers from.

Here's another fine analysis along the same lines by a conservative Republican.

This is not going to end well.
