To everyone on this forum,
Christians who think they are better than everyone else have missed the whole message of the new testament.
People become Christians when they realize they are not better than others, but in most cases much worse and realize they are sinners and decide they need a savior.

Now I'd like to share a poem with you all.

It's what Christmas is really all about.

Christmas isn't Santa Clause, with raindeer that can fly.
It isn't decorated trees, so pleasing to the eye.
It isn't just a special day when we should all be kind.
If you examine Christmas, this is what you'll find.

Christmas is the day that we remember Jesus' birth.
The day that God became a man to spend some time on earth.
His miracles were proof that He was who He claimed to be.
He healed the sick, He raised the dead, He caused the blind to see.

His comming had a purpose, it was all part of His plan.
For Him to pay the price for sin, He had to be a man.
A perfect man who had no sin, was who He had to be.
So He could die upon a cross, and pay the price for me.

Did you find my poem offensive?

Nope.

I see it as an expression of your belief and am gratified that you neither browbeat nor diminish others for their beliefs.

Well maybe you did a little. My children would argue with you about Santa Claus.

I'm very glad to hear that Amy.

I've done a lot of bible reading and I feel sure that God gave all of us a choice to believe or not to believe.

Jesus said to go into all the world and tell the good news so I tell people if they feel they are sinners and they want to be forgiven they should ask

Jesus for forgiveness. After that it's up to them. I'm out of it. Jesus never told us to judge anyone for their sins, that's his job not ours.

I do get upset when someone like "wis one" calls my belief a fairy tale. I personally think he's really not so smart and the bible has something to

say about floks professing themselves to be wise and they have become fools.

To those conservatives among you who read the bible. There is a perfect description of modern day liberals in 2nd Timothy Chapter 3 verses 1through 5.
Since the election they are acting as described.

That is incredible Amy, that is exactly the same number of bible verses that were proven wrong by science.

Uh, no.

The age of the earth ... 6,000 years as quoted from the bible by religionists? Wrong, by about 5 billion years.

Geocentric model of the universe, used by Catholic Church against Galileo to convict him of a crime? Wrong Heliocentric and Galactocentric are better, but even they are wrong. There is NO center of the universe, all points are the same.

Adam and Eve started the human race? Wrong, biological evolution gave a line of organisms progressing into homo sapiens and many other similar critters.

Turn water into wine? Wrong, but man, I wish it were right.

... and hundreds more.

uh no,

The bible does not give the age of the earth. It could be anything. Gen.1:28 the God that you don't believe in told Adam to be fruitful and "replenish" the earth. The Bible also does not refer to the earth as the center of the universe. That idea came from religious people not the bible.
The problem that the Catholic Church had with both Galileo and Columbus was their claim that the world is round, not flat but maYbe the church leaders never read Job 26;7 or Gen 1;9-13.

Water into wine is no problem for the creator of the universe who you don't believe in and who spoke everything into existence and neither are the hundreds of others that you claim.

I know you think God is a joke but I don't and I believe someday when its too late you will learn the truth and you won't be happy about it at all.

Give it up, Wise One.

Using facts and reason with a true believer is like pissing into the wind.

You may get temporary relief from unloading, but unpleasantness always returns.

His post wasn't made up of facts and reason Amy. It was misinformation and predigest thinking.

Thanks to President Trump the United States recognizes Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel and most of the world seems to be upset with that.

This could be the beginning of a bible prophesy that can be found in Zechariah chapter 12 with a related prophesy in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39

For all of you nonbelievers who do not own a bible you can read those chapters on the internet.

Yes, I read the chapters.
BS.
The writer of course wants to diminish and kill everybody not of his tribe.
Like Republicans.
This story written long ago, in obscure language, has no relevance to us.
Stories in the Bible are cherry-picked by bigots to justify whatever horror they are promoting at the moment.

This could more likely be the beginning of something out of the Book of Revelations.

Trump is single handedly blowing up the middle east, first by pissing off the everyone with this unnecessary embassy nonsense and now with the trashing of the Iran nuclear deal.

Iran.....North Korea! Where else might this fool start a nuclear war?

Finding absolution for Trump in the pages of the Bible is a useless endeavor. It ain't there.
