Oh I am right about a great many things. Look. On your point. You state it wrong. The GOP sent up a PASSED bill funding everything except the ACA. That was a no go... So they passed funding with a delay to the IM. Look it up. The House never THREATENED a "shut down". The Dem Senate and Obama need to own that. At best it is a dance but the House took it's Constitutional lead. The tango stalled there my friend. Your team has FAILED to pass appropriations bills for 4.5 years. OWN IT. Be the blind partisan I don't care too much. I take you on the try to educate little brother and the curious visitor 'dog...

So.....what you're telling us is that the house republicans didn't know that the poison pills they inserted into the appropriations bill wouldn't be acceptable and didn't know what the results were going to be.

Actually, I find that credible. Apparently, they didn't know a shutdown would affect the national parks, dead soldier benefits or the CDC. Apparently there are a lot of things they dont know.

But, as Plato said, Ignorance is no excuse! They're paid to know!

What I'm waiting for is for the Democrats to accept the one year delay on the ACA mandate with a few poison pills of their own: Voting rights.....Background checks......Immigration. Let's see if the republicans are actually willing to negotiate.....or if that's just more grandstanding.

If games are going to be played, Obama and the Senate need to start playing it on the same terms as the Tea Party.

You want to see the War Memorial? Restore the voting rights bill, hand over your thirty round clips and give your housekeepers a path to citizenship!

Keep the government shut down long enough and the people with torches and pitchforks coming for you wont be stopped because the cops will be furloughed.

Or.....Obama might just starve Joe Biden for a week and then turn him loose on 'em!

Let's take this one. I could get all mad but i have accepted the fact that you are just LAZY....

Look clown, the things you site and a whole bunch of others were PICKED by Democrats in power to inflict pain on the American People.

It was a Democrat show of force by Obama and Reid.

I realize too that for some Democrats, partisan ideological socialistic progressive state-ist types the thought of Republican opposition is an OUTRAGE!!!

"How dare the elected representatives in the House vote their constituents wishes!!!" The outrage is shallow. It is born in a clueless or willful ignorance of EPIC proportion. TRAPPED you TRULY are!!!

The GOP whether in the MINORITY in the Senate, or as the MAJORITY in the House, or the wee little Tea Party types, a minority within the GOP ESTABLISHMENT are always to blame... As well i get it. NO scrutiny of your own team is possible clown, I get that too.

The Parks, The WWII Memorials, the Scenic Overlooks, the NIH, the Catholic Army Priests, and all the rest were CHOSEN as ways to PUNISH. This is a great lesson in why some of us ESCHEW THE CONCENTRATION OF POWER in D.C.

It pains me that too many don't care. It pains me that too many won't see. It pains me that too many are simply my enemy when it comes to STANDING UP for liberty, individual rights and freedom...

Plato was right!

The fact that neither you nor the GOP have any inkling of how government entities are funded is plainly demonstrated.

Every 7th or so post you make I have no idea what you are talking about.

The furloughed (read: extra PAID vacation days) federal workers could have been kept at work.
In fact, the pentagon called furloughed workers BACK.
Parks and other strong arm efforts to inflict PAIN on The People was an ORCHESTRATED effort to:
1. Cajole
2. Scare
3. Impress

Yes IMPRESS the people how MUCH THEY NEEDED and BENEFITED from Big Government.

But when you close D.C. war memorials to The People, but ALLOW a protest on the Mall for illegal immigration, it ain't hard to figure out. When you fund Big Bird and deny funds to the NIH for adolescent cancer treatment and research, it ain't hard to figure out. When you keep 83% of government open and no one is really put out that much by the other 17% being lost, it ain't that hard to figure...

When you again, and again, and AGAIN go the the well of scare, and declare imminent and total global economic collapse through a compliant and BIASED media, it is NOT hard to figure out...

Over the first week plus of shutdown the government has taken in some 55 billion in tax revenue.

My Goodness. Clown, you fail again and again to impress. Your humor is flat. Your clever shtick is based on a fawning love of everything government control. The bigger the better! Look, when the Pisgah inn is closed, a PRIVATE inn on leased Federal land along the Blue Ridge Parkway in N.C., that employs 90, that's NINETY folks in the private sector, and Park Rangers BLOCKADE the parking lot, and armed Rangers GUARD the doors to the inn, and the 90 PRIVATE SECTOR WORKERS are denied work and pay, and will not receive back pay from King Obama, it ain't that hard to figure out that what King Obama is doing is to gin up PAIN, and political support.

Guess what. That DIRECTIVE has been reversed for obvious reason.
Also REVERSED is the denial to States to use STATE money to run National Parks.
What is also reversed is the denial of death benefits to dead soldiers, and note this:

The WWII Memorial is now OPEN to the WWII vets that are part of http://www.honorflight.org/ days after these Vets were actually threatened with ARREST. Remember? The with the help of some of their Representatives they cut through and went around the barriers? Which were then strengthened? Then the Administration, Obama, gave permission for the honor Flight visits, but continued to DENY access to The People in general at all the memorials?

Note: http://1mvetmarch.wordpress.com/
Note: https://www.facebook.com/rideforthecons ... arget_id=0

clown! The TRUCKERS are gonna give rides to the Vets to go to D.C. and go over and around the barriers that KING OBAMA has put UP!!! Wake the heck up or don't. I don't care. Your words and arguments are hollow, old, and grounded in hatred and bigotry. There is no HOPE for worthy principles in the way you seek to champion worthy principles...

Crux,

Your purely unique perspective never fails to entertain.

All the twisted right wing talking points and superstitions from whatever planet it is where they have opposite day every day are provided right here ......

Don't ever think that your efforts at collecting all of the most outrageous nonsense from whacko "news" sources and laying them out in such a concise manner isn't admired and appreciated.

Keep up the good work!

Real? Again and again it is all I am. I listen to whacko "news" sources all the time. The NYT Opinion page, the Huffpo (just an hour ago), heck, I even read the opinion page in the News Gazzette!!!

Just the other day there was some crafting going on. Newspaper protected the table... I started to read. The Sequester was to "cause the Maury River Senior center to cut it's services 5%".

I started to FUUUMMME...

I was ready to get out pen and paper and write my own editorial I was that agitated. It would have been a first but then, I saw the date: May. Shoot. It was old... But not in terms of Demonomics!

See. This is the education mountain I am up against, and I am pleased you appreciate the effort. It can get a little repetitive, as per Fangz's criticism. Circumstance dictate I have little choice, see:

There are those ill informed still who really can not fathom the truth. The Sequester cuts were just a cut in the RATE of growth over the next decade projected to result in 9 trillion in debt vs. 10.

The FOOL editors of the News Gazette, coon and AO and the whole gang didn't get it then and played out the whole "evil GOP sky is falling markets crashing economy crushing" total BS effort...

See, 'dog lectured me on news in another thread. He suggested the "news" was bad for Republicans because Republicans were bad and doing bad things. The flaw in his thinking was readily clear:

coondog absorbs propaganda and confuses it as "news". Fangz and my own Little Brother do the same thing all the time. You could accuse me of the same thing, but I read and wrassle with all of it...

For decades now. i know the full circle. I have taken it all in first hand my friend. I AM a LIBERAL.

More disassociated blather!

When all we really need to know is more about Pisgah. Coondog always thought Pisgah was more of a state of mind than an actual place.

And there's an Inn, you say?

coondog wrong again on the democrat shakedown

coondog wrote: When the world economy crashes because of the default and the world is launched into a depression of monumental proportions, a great many of the instigaters who think its a good idea will express surprise and chagrin, deny they had any part in it.......and blame it on Obama.
By then, however, it won't really matter who is to blame. It won't be fixable and when our enemies and allies alike declare war on us for wrecking the world economy.......well...

I was right.

" I predict in the next two weeks a deal will be reached. The Dems in the Senate and the President will be forced to negotiate and compromise, as they MUST. It is their duty..."

Sort of. Basically the Dems won this round. Big government deficits and debt won. The can being kicked down the road won. Another CR (continuing resolution). I remember talking to good democrats before the last election, and asked them if they supported raising the debt limit, and they assured me "absolutely not". :shakeh: You reap what you sow.

Just note that 17 trillion in debt equals $117,000 for every person who works...

As the Newest Deal settles in, and we listen to the details, we must note that at least the line was held on the Sequestration cuts under the Budget Control Act of 2011, that Obama signed. Now it is true the Dems wanted to undo this, but the line was held.

So, the baseline that was expanded under the Stimulus, was rolled back three years later by the Sequester cuts in the rate of growth... Surely the Dems will be after this again, but it was a small victory in the inexorable march toward the ever expanding Federal Government.

eh...

This is redistribution all right!

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/11 ... y-thieves/

To me, this is another example of what happens when we the people countenance such GROWTH in the Federal Government. The States are quite apt at wasting the taxpayers money and then we compound things by giving more power over to the Federal Government...

Really wise one? And what would a liberal English politicion be expected to say.
He served as Prime Minister during the time that no help was sent to relieve Khartoum and as a result Khartoum fell and General Gordon was killed.

Obamacare, otherwise known as the "AFFORDABLE CARE act", has cancelled health care insurance plans offered at Colleges and Universities too, like here at Bowie State in Maryland, a traditionally black university which was founded in 1965. http://campusreform.org/?ID=5239.

This is more Democrat Redistribution and I hope they come to like it...

Add this one to the long list.

Apparently, leading up to the election 2012, the Census Bureau faked, made up households, and manipulated the unemployment data prior to the RE-election of our pathetic President Obama.

Remember how it magically fell from over 8.0% to like 7.8%? I do, and I remember Jack Welsch's comments too. I think I posted about them here on the forum. My adversaries here miss so much.

It's what happens when you are not paying attention...
