So funny. Here's another one.

This is a fine example of what passed on this forum for open civil discourse where all sides were free to chime in and were represented. Loverockbridge I know has but few posts, and wishes me to know that I am somehow unfairly or unfriendly in my domination of the speech zone. Oh, and I use too many capitals and mean spirited bold italics... Give me a break. Look at another fine progressive mind meld right here. Well, except for History4all's able point early on regarding teacher's unions.
He was ignored. States face a 6 trillion dollar shortfall when it comes to paying for public sector union retirement pension and health benefits. Virginia is a state too you know. Trillion, is a very big number. All I read here is lovely little bitter jabs about governor McDumbell. You guys are, and I will say it, obtuse. Where do you think all these tax dollars come from? Planet Zeeba? Free Clinics are not free. We spend vast amounts on educational utopias for ever decreasing results. Wishful d(emo)cratic good intentions are never to be assaulted. Just pour more money into the problem. There is never enough. Taxes are never adequate. Personal responsibility is a trite little hateful right wing concept that the left downplays in favor of more and more "GOVERNMENT INNOVATION".

I wonder....................

How many people who voted for this guy knew who he REALLY is?

Thanks, CD.

Rachel's piece on McDumbell is amazing. I knew he was bad but didn't quite realize until now that he is this bad. The only thing good about him is that I'm fairly confident that anybody who puts him on a national ticket will see votes evaporate big time, so maybe he's a good choice if your objective is to keep the present flock of Republican turkeys out of the White House.

Hey, did you notice that basically all the "conservative" participants here on the Forum have put tail between legs and slunk off? While I consider some of them to be more mindless radical reactionaries than thoughtful conservatives, it is always nice to see and participate in debate over public issues. I've come to the sad realization that many of that ilk are really bullies at heart, delighted to pick on people cruelly and anonymously but unable to withstand either the light of day or reasoned resistance to their propaganda. Cowards run, and cowards is what they are.

Conservatives.............the kind of conservatives who take the time to express their opinions on forums such as this don't, as a rule, last too long. After the initial thrill of agitating folks by re-posting inflamatory jibberish from right wing blogs, they seem to become weary of reasoned and logical backlash in the form of facts and just fade away like a Pat Robertson for President sticker on the back of an old Pontiac.

One might suppose the more rabid adherants gravitate to web sites like Red State where their misrepresentations, malicious demonizations and hateful rhetoric might receive the the type of reinforcement they thrive on. The few less unreasonable conservatives encountered in the past appear to be somewhat thin-skinned when challenged and take averything as a personal attack.

I guess when rationality threatens strongly held personal world views cultivated on misconceptions, it's easier to turn off the old receptors and go surf e-bay. Faith based reality!

I kind of miss 'em........but, attempting to enlighten them is like...... :banghead:

You could not have hit the nail more squarely.

It stuns us to see that a pooch can use a hammer at all, let alone with such unerring accuracy.

Our astute Governor was on Chuck Todd this morning. He was asked a number of questions and answered none of them.

This guy would make a PERFECT running mate for Mitt.

This McDumbell / Cuckoonelli stunt is disgusting.

Here's , somewhat long, with some Republicans themselves saying that their party is sowing the seeds of its own destruction.

If there is anybody still out there who thinks that Republicans retain even a shred of sanity, will convince him that they are totally, completely, irrevocably insane and probably ought to be locked up for our collective safety.

Virginia Republicans want to encourage even more wasteful gasoline usage, subsidize it from revenues paid by people who do not own cars, and impose punitive new taxes ($100 on efficient hybrid vehicles) on people who choose fuel efficiency. This is extreme derangement on public display!

I can only explain this stuff by assuming that the Republican brain is horribly mis-wired. Or, as they would describe it, an Act of God.

The good news is that a good lobotomy or strong electroconvulsive therapy treatment would benefit them. I hereby offer to pay for a free ride (Republicans love it when poor people like me pay for them) to any Republican who asks to be driven in for such a, clearly necessary, medical procedure.

Careful, there, Buck.

You'll likely be hearing from Donald Trump's lawyer about that free ride.

Two things to remember:

All evidence points to the fact that he's already had one lobotomy.

But, don't let double-dipping become a contentous issue.

The first one didn't work.

Give the man the ride.

Thanks, CD, for advice protecting me from the wrath of Trump and McDumbell. Yes, lobotomies may have been visited upon them already, just not aggressively enough.

Just when I thought Republicans couldn't possibly do anything dumber than McDumbell's tax on fuel efficient cars, plus making poor people pay for rich folks' cars through the sales tax, they found yet another way to display mean stupidity.

A Republican wants to . Yeah, it ain't them 18-wheelers carrying 22 tons that wears out our roads, it's little Jennifer on her bike. And she breathes hard riding uphill, emitting all that CO2, maybe more than an 18-wheeler.

Oh, wait, I forgot ... there's no such thang as climate change caused by man, never mind. Oh, but wait again, it ain't CO2 from all those oil burning machines that makes the climate change, it's people breathing that causes the problem. Yeah, yeah, it's all consistent. Protect human life when it's a few cells in size, but execute people for damn near anything after they start breathing. That's the ticket. Who says Republicans aren't strong environmentalists?!

If I had the power to make the trade, I would in a microsecond.
Virginia would come out WAY ahead on that one.

Too bad we can't trade, I'd be happy to throw in both of our Senators and and the former speaker of the house.
They are something like Robinhood because they believe in taking from those who work and giving to those who won't.
Also none of them have ever seen a tax that they didn't love.
They treat foriegn nationals who are in the country illigally like visiting royalty.
