Crux, you are wildly entertaining.
When I tire of logic, inciteful analysis, sober reflection, and truth ... I can always take a break and read your stuff.
It can be depended on to break the monotony of reality.
Don't ever go away.

Please tell me where the TRUTH left off in my previous post, or in any post actually.

Clinton Global Initiative CANCELLED

Postby Crux » 2016 Aug 24 08:36

That's news today. Yesterday it was that Obama wouldn't attend. It's moving fast...

BBSC and others are either amazed, caught unawares, or remain unaware. NNUTS!

In other words NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN! The Clinton Foundation was corrupt at it's inception.
A charity is not a "charity" when it's administration costs (like food and travel and lodging) is at 85%.

The leftists on this forum have remained smug and blind to the facts AND the truth.

To those with Lexington/Rockbridge connections who may not already have heard, Katie Letcher Lyle has died of a self-inflicted gunshot.

We attended the same university and I knew her for decades. She was a marvelous person, prolific author, and a lover of music. She and I had a lovely conversation at the Limekiln Theater's Seldom Scene Show in June. She remarked that she had never missed a Lexington Seldom Scene performance in all the years since they began in the 1970's.

R.I.P. but the gun didn't do it. I suspect KLL was dealing with some profound mental anguish. It happens.

Two young men in my extended family have killed themselves with a gun in the last 3 months.

Hillary is not long for this world.

Postby Crux » 2016 Aug 31 13:56

There is some inside baseball on her health. Sure she is a front-puppet.
Sure if she drops out and then Kaine comes in it's the same old same old.

Hillary is NOT in good health, and we are talking quite LITERALLY about her MENTAL health.

The inside baseball on her brain is that 3 years ago she had a brain tumor removed and it's growing back.

He was an interesting guy, motivated by most of the right things, was influential in causing real reforms, and also had a stubbornness that sometimes hurt himself.

Rest in a knowledge that you disturbed the peace of those richly deserving to be so disturbed!

Gwen Ifill has died. She was a terrific journalist and I'll miss her Friday show. I first realized that she was going places when Lexington's own Charlie McDowell told me so, in exactly those terms and before nearly anybody else had heard of her. He was a long time member of the Washington Week in Review panel and Gwen had just joined them.

So sad that the great Mel Tillis is gone. He found a way to surmount a handicap big time.

Ode to a brilliant man.
Theodore Geisel
Born April 2, 1904, died September 24, 1991
Mother's maiden name Henrietta Seuss

Dr. Seuss
By Cannoneer

When it came to writing stories,
Dr. Seuss was very good.
Others tried to write like he did,
But no one really could.

He had a very special style,
That was his and his alone.
The strangest kind of rhymes,
That the world has ever known.

His stories were outrageous,
And his characters absurd.
Many times to make things rhyme,
He'd invent a brand new word.

Far and wide we loved his stories,
And they always made us smile.
And we all forgot our troubles,
If only for a while.

He invented characters,
For stories he would tell.
In crazy situations,
And he did it very well.

Nobody could replace him,
For he was one of a kind.
A special story teller,
With a most unusual mind
